- 4123 BC: Aragorn II is born to Arathorn II, Heir of Isildur, and Gilraen.
- 4045 BC: Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamgee, and Gollum begin their passage of the Dead Marshes at dawn and are forced to hide from a flying Nazgûl. Treebeard's Entmoot continues in Fangorn Forest; the Three Hunters enter the forest and meet Gandalf. The four set out for Edoras. Faramir II leaves Gondor for Ithilien with his men to ambush Southrons marching to Mordor.
- 1973: Birth of Paul Khanna (a Death Eater).
- 1980: Ronald Weasley, now aged 44, is born to Arthur and Molly I Weasley.
- 1997: On Ronald Weasley's seventeenth birthday, Hogwarts students' trip to Hogsmeade is cancelled. Weasley accidentally swallows a Love Potion from Romilda Vane meant for Harry Potter. Potter has Horace Slughorn give him an antidote; afterwards, Weasley drinks poisoned mead from Draco Malfoy meant for Albus Dumbledore. His death is narrowly prevented when Potter shoves a bezoar down his throat.
