Members

First generation

Cave Johnson I was United States Postmaster General from 1845 CE to 1849 CE and a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1829 CE to 1845 CE. His great-great-grandson Cave Johnson V would claim in 1988 CE that Johnson I lived his life according to what would eventually become his great-grandson Cave Johnson IV's Theories on Farming.[2]

Second generation

According to his great-grandson Cave Johnson V in 1988 CE, Cave Johnson II lived his life according to what would eventually become his grandson Cave Johnson IV's Theories on Farming.[2]

Third generation

According to his grandson Cave Johnson V in 1988 CE, Cave Johnson II lived his life according to what would eventually become his son Cave Johnson IV's Theories on Farming.[2]

Fourth generation

Cave Johnson IV was a professor of farming at his local farm college who established Johnson's Theories on Farming. Despite this, his son Cave Johnson V would say in 1988 CE that he "[n]ever farmed a day in his life."[2] There is a conspiracy theory that Cave Johnson IV was actually Walt Disney.

~Sixth generation

Johnson became ill in July 2014 CE, driving his daughter Angelina Johnson to care for him.[8] This is the only real information we have on Johnson; it is possible, but unknown, that he is a Sorcerous. Nevertheless, Johnson bears mention as the only known living member of the Johnson family keeping the family name.

~Seventh generation

Angelina Weasley fought in the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998 CE as part of Dumbledore's Army. She attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1989 CE to 1996 CE, where she was a member of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.

Etymology

The English surname Johnson means "son of John"; John is an English form of the Hebrew name Yochanan ("Yahweh (God) is gracious").

Angelina Johnson's first name is a diminutive form of Angela, a feminine form of the Latin name Angelus ("angel").

The name Cave, shared by five different members of the family, has possible origins in the English word cave, the Norman French word cauf ("bald"), a Yorkshire river, and the occupation of a wine cellar worker.
