Arcturinus (c. 2019—Unknown) was an extremely strategic and influential man, as well as Nae'blis, the Champion of the Shadow, of the First Age of the Wheel of Time. Arcturinus was the son of the Dark witch Delphini and Eriik, the clone of the first member of the Second Athenian Royal Family, Erikthonius, the twin brother of Rolpha, the former husband of former New Feline Sil'iende and the father of Marmaduke Clyde. Delphini planned to use her children, with the blood of wizardkind and deities in their veins, to exact revenge against Harry Potter for the utter destruction of her father Sheev Palpatine I, then much better known as Voldemort. In the end, Eriik turned on his family from unstable cloning and Delphini was forced to put an end to both him and the plan. Delphini then decided to pose as the niece of Amos Diggory in order to alter the course of time to bring back Voldemort, but was forced to leave the children under the care of a deranged Exar War veteran by the name of Crane Secuestrador. During this time, Arcturinus was named Magnificus Clyde, and Rolpha was named Nephthys Clyde. Although he was mostly caring to the children, Secuestrador forced them, who had not yet reached one year of age, to help in his plot to kill his son-in-law Oinats Peregrin III and the former Emperor of Exar Exurban, both Exar veterans. Secuestrador failed and was incarcerated, while Magnificus and Nephthys were put into the care of Adventum Matane Orobar, a trusted fellow Exar veteran who was famous before the Exar War Obliviating. As Orobar's adopted children, Magnificus and Nephthys had many exciting adventures and experiences with Ben Trumanson, Peregrin, and others, before they formed the New Continental Force.
At age twenty, Magnificus and his wife Sil'iende had a son named Marmaduke Clyde. Magnificus noticed something strange about Sil'iende's nature, and within a year of Marmaduke's birth, he learned that new Minister for Magic Timor Obscurius planned to execute Delphini and all her close relatives. Although he barely remembered his mother, Magnificus decided to free Delphini from Azkaban. By the time he returned to the United States of America, An'dren Conda, on the orders of Jadis, had abducted both mother and son. Presuming them dead, Magnificus flew into a rage and turned against his former allies. During their travels the two discovered the existence of Bachland and deduced that that was Sil'iende's origin world. Despite his new hostility towards Orobar and the Continental Force, Magnificus was able to warn Nephthys, now wife of Albas Sol and mother of Edward Sol in the United Kingdom, about Obscurius's intentions, just in time. Nephthys, Albas, and Edward were forced to flee to different countries but stayed together until the following year, when Nephthys was captured and unfairly incarcerated in Azkaban. Three more years later, Albas was killed attempting to escape to the United States of America, while Magnificus and Delphini were able to save Edward. Through the Gateway of Two Twins, the three made it to Bachland, where Delphini and Edward parted ways with Magnificus.
Magnificus reverted his name to Arcturinus and, by 2081, was a notable and accomplished man who, among other things, worked as a general in the capital city of Emtold. In that year, during the Battle of Conquer, Arcturinus fell to the snares of Essentio Tenebrae, who tempted him with many things before his defeat at the hands of the mysterious man M'Dival (Manwë himself in disguise), who freed Prince Daerhiod'm'hael Hessavid (William) of Morgoth's spirit. Through extreme study and research, Arcturinus discovered the Tre'Ta'Ideli, allowing Morgoth to fight in the Battle of Emtold. While serving Morgoth, Arcturinus greatly expanded his already wide intellect and began to put in effect his master plan to be officially recognized as Morgoth's mortal champion for the Shadow: Nae'blis, by fulfilling the Prophecy of Koy'Chinnar Shadar. For the plan to be fulfilled, Morgoth had to be without a Shai'dal (host), and so, Arcturinus attempted to bring Indenar Noldo to destroy the Tre'Ta'Ideli while Morgoth was weakened and vulnerable, which would effectively end his threat in Bachland for a time. Noldo refused and Morgoth escaped.
Arcturinus went to a far longer-taking backup plan and moved to [[Narmyt Myo], where he began "advising" the Felines of Chima during times of disorder and distrust. Unbeknownst to anyone, Arcturinus had indirectly caused those very things and continued to do so, eventually leading to Tsi'ou Dhjinen's invoking the Great Separation of the Felines of Chima, destroying the alliance. It was around this time that Arcturinus met a man by the name of Ishaesam for the first time, one of the only ones that Arcturinus was willing to truly share his plans with and trust. Ishaesam disappeared, and his "son" Proditor joined Arcturinus in his plans, although he avoided telling them to the boy. Both Ishaesam and Proditor were actually disguises of Mitth'raw'nuruodo, who planned to use Arcturinus for his own means, interestingly the brother of Jadis, the woman whose orders had led to Magnificus Clyde's great betrayal. Under the name of Carus Turin (an anagram of "Arcturinus"), Arcturinus influenced his son Marmaduke Clyde, who had also ended up in Bachland through the Gateway of Two Twins, into deciding to kill Emperor Prûdentron of the Spírithon at the Great Spírithon Monument. Unfortunately, it was too late when Arcturinus learned that Delphini (now Reforma White; Edward was renamed Edward White) and Edward were at the Monument. Arcturinus was able to warn them just as Clyde arrived and attempted to capture both Reforma and Edward. Unaware of their lineage, Clyde attacked Arcturinus. Escaping the brief skirmish, Clyde assassinated Prûdentron and abducted Reforma, in the process framing the New Felines, sparking the War of Vengeance (Narmyt Myo, a conflict between the Spírithon and the New Felines.
During the war, Arcturinus managed to become a trusted adviser for both the Spírithon and the New Felines. In order to limit the amount of members in the New Felines, Arcturinus helped the Spírithon kill off all but one male members and wound the last, Nartholdi, making Nartholdi very bitter and furious at them. Persuading New Feline leader Urstanen to send Nartholdi as leader of the Agiharben Team to capture Prûdentron's widow, Empress Musharon. In his anger, Nartholdi nearly succeeded in the mission but failed after trying to kill Musharon. The rest of the team was killed and Nartholdi was forced out of the group, with the Felines now limiting their members to female. Arcturinus was instrumental in the Spírithon Succession Rebellion and was one of Emperor Boulevard X's most trusted supporters afterwards. Boulevard was obsessed with destroying the New Felines to avenge his father, young, and blind to the fact that Arcturinus was not completely loyal and was turning valuable soldiers to a secret organization called simply the Ben'atha, short for "Zaffi Harben Atha'an Dumki" (Old Tongue for "of complete take people army". Arcturinus remained in a high position when Boulevard was possessed by the lost spirit of Feline descendant Têhun and when the Spírithon throne was usurped by Têhun's grandfather, Tsi'ou Dhjinen himself. Arcturinus convinced Dhjinen to destroy Tre'Ta'Ideli. Contrary to his plans, Morgoth then inhabited Dhjinen's body. It was then that Arcturinus and the Ben'atha abandoned the Spírithon Army.
Arcturinus continued to work from the background. The Ben'atha gradually reformed into the military organization Army of Absolute Conquer. They kept a low profile and did not reenter the public scene until 2824, 120 years later, at which point the First Great Siege of Xundar had been going on for 72 years. Arcturinus threatened both Emtold and Narmyt Myo, joining forces with Xundar. It was twenty years later that Arcturinus conquered Narmyt Myo, using a Boulevard's Document of Will Concerning the Throne of Narmyt Myo. Traikendan, emperor of Xundar and newest aspect of Morgoth, ordered the death of Arcturinus. Marmaduke Clyde was at this point Arcturinus's prisoner at this point and trapped him in a Matlam Chinnar. Marmaduke Clyde reformed the Army into the New Clyde Enterprises but was trapped in a Matlam Chinnar himself. Proditor released Arcturinus, while Bonorum released Clyde. The two fought in the Battle for the Army of Absolute Conquer, which ended in Arcturinus regaining many of his supporters. After employing Emtold defector Malum, Arcturinus stole the Third Allwair Greahol from Emtold forces on Tumasen Tongel and finally revealed to Clyde his relationship to him as father, then captured both him and Alpha-1 (Kylo Ren). Malum soon betrayed Arcturinus and took the Allwair Greahol, but not before Arcturinus used it to bind himself to it using the True Power.
Malum proceeded to use all three Allwair Greaholin to free the Spirits of Power as their master. Arcturinus fought in the Great Siege of Narmyt Myo, against three other sides: Malum, Xundar, and Emtold; the latter was now allied with the rightful king of Narmyt Myo, Boulevard's son Arathorn III, the New Felines, and native inhabitants of Tumasen Tongel. Emtold won and Arcturinus was seemingly killed by Malor.
