Ganon
Demon King Ganon, also spelled Gannon[2], was an Incarnation of Hatred[4] from the early 11th to mid-10th centuries BCE in Timeline Omega-Delta as a future variant of Ganondorf I Dragmire, King of the Gerudo, who killed the Hero of Time, seized the full might of the complete Triforce in the Battle of Ganon's Castle, and assumed the form of the demonic boar Ganon to cement his rule over Hyrule. However, the people of Hyrule rallied behind the Seven Sages and Knights of Hyrule in the Imprisoning Wars to seal Ganon away in the Sacred Realm. Over centuries, Ganon corrupted the Sacred Realm so that it became the Dark World and again schemed to take over Hyrule by possessing the cleric Agahnim before killed by the Hero of Legend.[5]
Centuries and several resurrections later, a relatively unintelligent and weakened Ganon invaded the once-great nation of Lesser Hyrule in a quest to once again obtain the full Triforce but was thwarted and slain for the final time by the Hero of Hyrule.[2]
Biography
As King of the Gerudo and Emperor of Hyrule
Main article: Ganondorf I Dragmire
Raised by the twin witches of Twinrova, the Gerudo King Ganondorf I Dragmire conquered Hyrule and seized the Triforce of Power, opposed only by Link, the Hero of Time.[1]
Imprisoning War
Timeline Omega-Delta split off the main timeline when Ganondorf successfully won the fateful Battle of Ganon's Castle, slaying the Hero of Time and stealing the Triforces of Wisdom from Princess Zelda VII Sheik and Courage from the Hero. Filled with even more immense power than before, Ganondorf then permanently assumed the form of a demonic boar and was from that moment known solely by his old moniker "Ganon".
With Ganon's success however, the people of Hyrule finally revolted against their conqueror, banding behind the Knights of Hyrule and Six Sages in the Imprisoning War. The Knights gradually found their way past Ganon's defenses, troops, and lands martially until making their way toward Ganon's Castle, where Zelda revealed herself as the seventh Sage and joined the others in sealing Ganon away in the Sacred Realm itself. By that time, the evil in Ganon's heart and his zealous desire to conquer Hyrule turned the Golden Land into a reflection of that dream to resemble a darkened, shadowy Hyrule; the Dark World.
