- Eru Ilúvatar/Bendu creates the Emptaxies and the Ainur, choosing Manwë/Aslan and Melkor/Bogan, to inhabit said Emptaxies, respectively.
- Shai'tan emerges and, with help from the Ainur, is almost immediately imprisoned in Shayol Ghul. However, a small sliver of his soul avoids imprisonment and begins to fully devour Melkor's being.
- Manwë and Melkor's memories are wiped; their names are now Emtold and Xrâlkón.
- c. 9,999,997,695 BC
- Emtold and Xrâlkón slowly mature and become more powerful until this time, when Xrâlkón begins to become jealous of and paranoid about his brother.
- Xrâlkón creates Anámoleth, the first Spirithôn, as an abused servant and spy.
- Emtold confronts Xrâlkón about his recent wrongdoings; Xrâlkón gives into Shai’tan’s influence and is named Essentio Tenebrae, essence of darkness, by his brother.
- Tenebrae prophesies the Fall of Gloria Mundi.
- Battle for Balance; Emtold manages to split most of Tenebrae from Xrâlkón's body, but it is ultimately Iluvatar who reclaims and restores Melkor.

- King Quaesitor in Lucem of Bachland calls on Manwë for help using Megil. Manwë creates M’toldo as a shell to carry his aspect of Emtold. M’toldo sustains Bachland by becoming the world’s core, delaying the destruction of Bachland and giving its people more power and wisdom; Talking Beasts are created.

- Melkor betrays the Ainur and sparks the First War, which spans 14,362 years; Melkor also initiates the Marring of Arda.
